Lynn Mundell is a short-short story writer, editor, publisher, and author of the chapbook Let Our Bodies Be Returned to Us, published by the University of South Carolina in 2022. She is currently the editor of Centaur, a literary journal dedicated to hybrid writing.
A fifth-generation Californian who lives in the Bay Area, Lynn moved throughout the state many times as a child. The themes of community, family, and isolation inform much of her writing.
Between early 2011 and 2023, Lynn co-edited 100 Word Story, an online literary journal dedicated to stories and essays exactly 100 words short. Their first anthology, co-edited with Beret Olsen, is Nothing Short Of: Selected Tales from 100 Word Story (Outpost19, 2018).
Like the old photo in the header? It’s Lynn’s great-grandmother and great-aunt on their horse ranch in Placer County.
